Hi, I’m Kate Kelley, MS, PCLC, and I am passionate about creating a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to approach areas and relationships in your life with curiosity, compassion, and courage. I love cultivating a secure space to make sense of emotions and relationships and to gain insight into how life experiences shape those things.
I use a combination of humanistic, narrative, and existential therapy with an Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) base. It’s a person-centered and collaborative approach, grounded in mutual honesty, trust, and humor. Drawing on your story, strengths, and experiences, as well as my insight and expertise, this collaborative approach allows for authentic exploration of self so you will be empowered to build a new framework for seeing yourself, your relationships, and the world. We can also explore if the patterns and habits you’ve built thus far are still serving you in helpful and healthy ways, working to move from a place of surviving or adapting to wholly and intentionally discovering and living out who you are.
Simply put, I provide space and support for people in transitions or crisis, those feeling “stuck” (whether in autopilot or survival mode), those dealing with unhealthy relational patterns, or those desiring growth or healing. I recognize that each client is unique and complex, so I use a combination of approaches, while also incorporating a holistic approach that recognizes the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and heart in our experiences and feelings. I strive to help you by offering unconditional acceptance, empathetic understanding, and open dialogue during our time together.
My hope is to create space for you to mindfully slow down and reflect, as you navigate the journey towards self awareness, personal growth, emotional intelligence, and relational connectedness. That’s what gets my heart beating – helping you move towards healthy, helpful, and fulfilling relationships, with yourself and others.
When I’m not in the office, you can find me outside or with family and friends. I love being in nature, playing sports, reading, traveling, and adventuring. I find pleasure in exploring new places, trying new things, and participating in activities that get me moving.
