Hello, I’m Isabel Uhrich and strive to create an empathetic and authentic therapeutic relationship with individuals and couples in order to facilitate change and growth throughout the counseling process. I emphasize a collaborative, client-centered approach, which focuses on individual strengths and goals to guide each session.
I integrate evidence-based practices such as mindfulness, existentialism, and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and I have additional training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. These approaches are utilized to help those experiencing grief, depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and relationship distress develop a greater sense of how emotional patterns may be impacting their life and relationships, and to create the empowerment needed for the change they wish for themselves.
I am originally from North Dakota and have spent the past 5 years living in Montana, earning my Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Montana State University. I enjoy living in Bozeman because of the many opportunities to explore the outdoors and share a close-knit community.
